Event Industry Conference 9.0 Set to Bring Event Professionals Together in Lagos
Nigeria's event professionals are preparing for the ninth edition of The Event Industry Conference, scheduled to take place in Lagos from September 22 to 24, 2026.
The conference, known as TEIC 9.0, is themed “The Great Reset – Reinventing the Event Industry.”
Three Days of Industry Discussions
According to the organisers, the three-day programme will bring together event professionals, founders, producers, speakers and mentors.
More than 40 speakers and mentors are expected to participate, while the organisers are projecting more than 800 delegates.
The programme will be spread across three venues and will combine education, networking, community activities and an awards ceremony.
Masterclasses and Professional Development
The first day is scheduled to take place at the MUSON Centre in Onikan and will focus on masterclasses for people working in the event industry.
The sessions are designed to provide professionals with opportunities to learn, exchange ideas and examine how the industry can evolve.
Community Impact
The second day will focus on a community impact initiative, reflecting the conference's interest in connecting the event industry with the wider community.
The organisers have described this part of the programme as an opportunity for the industry to contribute beyond its normal commercial activities.
Dinner and Awards
The final day will conclude with a dinner and industry awards at Balmoral, Federal Palace, Victoria Island.
The awards are intended to recognise professionals and organisations contributing to the development of Nigeria's events industry.
Why the Conference Matters
Nigeria's event industry involves a wide range of professionals, including planners, promoters, decorators, caterers, entertainers, venue operators, technology providers and marketers.
A conference that brings people from these different areas together can provide opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Final Thoughts
TEIC 9.0 reflects the increasing professionalisation of Nigeria's event industry.
As technology, consumer expectations and the creative economy continue to change, event professionals will need to adapt to new ways of planning, marketing and delivering experiences.
